I've gone a long way of commercial internet development from Perl programming in 1995 via rise of Windows NT 4.0 in 1997 to current multitiered, services based, application development of J2EE applications. My future focus is in the rising technologies and their business benefits as well as maintaining current knowledge of my main interests: business process infrastructure, software development processes, J2EE, XML, digital asset management and pervasive computing. The goal is to have a broad vision of the IT-infrastructure in order to make the right decisions at the right moment.

My current work mostly involves with dealing the issue on how to best utilize technology to support business goals. In practice this means that I have to know what software solutions are out there, what in general is happening in the field of online business and how to tie together different pieces to try to implement things fast as marketplace agility requires.
The other side mainly consists of lot of strategy work, market scanning and trying to identify new business possibilities online. Also, I'm working closely with my agile production unit and scaling up internal web-analytics and SEM practices.
My main focus areas in the current situation are Sanoma Digital Marketplaces, Sanoma News digital development, domestic and international partnerships and naturally Sanoma Digital's core operations.
