Michael Wolnick’s Summary

I began my career performing outcall massage to 4-5 star hotels in San Francisco. While working there, I also established a private practice with 2 locations (a home office and on Union Street), worked in a chiropractic office in Noe Valley, developed spa experience at Equilibrium at the Monaco hotel, and had a corporate chair massage account with WR Hambrecht.

In 2001, my wife (then girlfriend) and I opened a small spa (Spa Solace) in the Westin and Sheraton hotels in Palo Alto. We hired several employees and lived in Redwood City. We operated the spa until spring of 2004, when some economic difficulties and different goals than the hotels caused us to part ways.

I began teaching massage therapy part-time at Silicon Valley College in October of 2004 and graduated over 100 massage therapists before being promoted to Program Director of Massage Therapy at Western Career College (formerly SVC). I am an elected Faculty Representative for the San Jose Campus

I have now completed my AS degree in Health Science and am about to begin a Bachelor's in business management or e-Business at DeVry University. I'm working towards a Lead Program Director or Dean position with WCC (recently acquired by DeVry).
