  • Director of Client Services

    Centercode, Inc.

(Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Computer Software industry)

    August 2001Present (8 years 6 months)

As the Director of Client Services for Centercode, I supervise the operation of hundreds of beta tests a year. Our team of engineers is focused on conducting beta tests for many of the largest manufacturers in the technology industry.

My role is focused interfacing with our corporate clients to ensure tests are conducted to their satisfaction; establishing best practices within operations and effectively managing our team. With an emphasis on customer service, we provide professional and detailed execution of beta tests.

Centercode delivers world leading software and services designed to help organizations of all sizes achieve highly successful beta tests. In my role, I ensure we utilize our tool "Connect" and the most effective beta test practices possible.

  • Beta Test Manager

    3Com Corporation

(Public Company; 1001-5000 employees; COMS; Computer Networking industry)

    May 1992August 2001 (9 years 4 months)

At the time of my departure from 3Com, I was the Beta Test Manager for the entire corporation supervising testing for all divisions on three continents. This included testing products of all types from large switches to Palm handhelds.

Hired initially to support the technical operations of Megahertz Corporation's top clients, I was moved into engineering to supervise the beta test program. Alone in this position, I designed and executed multiple tests. Megahertz was acquired by USR which was then acquired by 3Com.

In each acquisition, our beta test practices were adopted by our new parent company. Over seven years, I grew the team from myself to nine people conducting projects for the entire company.

In my experience, I gathered expertise in a variety of technologies. I was deeply involved in the initial deployment of V.92, Bluetooth, DSL, Cable, 802.11x, VoIP and numerous other standards in software and hardware.

  • Technical Writer

    Iomega Corporation

(Public Company; 1001-5000 employees; Computer Hardware industry)

    June 1991February 1992 (9 months)

I was hired at Iomega to help improve and simplify documentation. As a technical writer I compiled, wrote and designed technical documentation for SCSI specifications, Open Architecture Manuals and various Iomega products. In each of these projects I helped improve the overall usability and streamline the design of these documents.

With our documentation team, we headed up the change from a multi-page manual to a single sheet of paper with images. This advance in usability and design received multiple awards and was at the forefront of peripheral documentation design.
