For the Alliance, focus and guide the cross-jurisdictional collaborative activities of four working teams comprised of more than 100 high-level governmental, commercial, and institutional leaders committed to improving the Chicago region’s tri-state economy in the areas of workforce development, innovation, transportation and logistics, and green growth, as part of a regional planning pilot project funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration and regional sponsors in response to the recommendations of an OECD Territorial Review of the Chicago metropolitan area. Assisted in securing more than $100,000 in delayed matching funds in first eight months, and responsible for implementing 2014 sponsorship campaign. Shared responsibility for planning of December 2014 Second Annual Summit on Regional Competitiveness with partner Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago.

For the CCAC, provide strategy and program support for Chicago’s historic growth coalition comprised of more than 100 civic leaders from the domains of architecture, planning, development, government, cultural affairs, and academia. Assisted in securing more than $50,000 in delayed membership payments in first eight months. Responsible for planning and managing monthly member luncheons with high-level guest speakers. Co-organizer of highly successful 2014 Central Area Transportation Workshop which moved the Chicago Loop Connector Project forward for the first time in 20 years.

For both organizations, perform membership and donor development and management activities, write major grant applications for public and private funders, plan and manage major monthly and annual events, produce press materials, electronic newsletters, and organizational websites, track and report on budgets and billing, develop and administer organizational databases and cloud-server systems, and provide administrative support.

I worked closely with Aaron to rebrand his nationally prominent urban policy blog by devising a new set of core messages and using those messages as the basis to draft new website content.

I helped Ann develop a brand for her executive coaching consultancy and website by leading her through strategic keyword exercises to identify the values and strengths embodied in her work, using them as the basis for new core messages and new website content.

I shot the influential "Jessica" interview for the "7 Days @ Minimum Wage" living-wage video blog, part of a national campaign that helped raise the wage in six states during Election 2006. The video was chosen as the centerpiece of the campaign for its heart-wrenching presentation of a real, working Chicago mom who could not afford to provide adequately for her children, and won on-screen praise from celebrity host Roseanne Barr.

I was invited to write a series of best-practices articles on nonprofit blogging for the annual media guide, "Getting On the Air, Online & into Print".

I assisted in writing copy for "Rosdev Revealed", the blog component of a successful U.S.-Canadian union organizing campaign, and translated the blog into French.
