Hi, I'm Mike. My objective is to create valuable online experiences.
In a nutshell, I'm a passionate, slightly obsessive, creative thinker, and I love what I do.
I collaborate & design using pen, paper, Freemind, white board, and Adobe Creative Suite 3 or 4.
I develop using semantic X/HTML markup, CSS, PHP, Javascript & open source frameworks.
I research & drive quality traffic with Google and social networks.
I track and learn what people want and need with analytics, surveys, heat-maps and trends.
I optimize using multivariate experiments & split testing, surveys, & lots of brainstorming.
I use an iterative process of discovery, design, implementation, and measuring. The results are conversational, fun, flowing, and interactive. I understand the importance of web standards, the benefits of sustainable web frameworks, the meaning of semantic markup for the web, and the value of desirable, accessible, usable websites.
12 years were spent, designing, building, and marketing websites, and 4 years as a father and a husband. This has increased my ability to really communicate design.
