Differentiation in a competitive marketplace is one of the most challenging endeavors a new or emerging business can undertake. For these organizations, it’s also one of the most valuable assets that a designer can produce. I work with entrepreneurs of all types to provide them with the exact visual resources they need to connect customers with ideas to help forge an initial and lasting market presence.
I specialize in visual campaigns involving identity, product and service promotion, and corporate communication. My portfolio includes projects that are commercial, educational, and artistic in nature.

At Wild Things I am responsible for the re-branding effort of this 28-year old outdoor clothing and backpack manufacturer. Founded in 1981 in North Conway, NH by two elite climber/mountaineers, the challenge is to create a compelling lifestyle brand from this heritage, and then make it real on the Web. We will be selling direct from the Web, so the Web is our storefront. In a saturated market, this is no small task.

At Boardman Design, I craft visual strategies that help build brand programs for small businesses and individual entrepreneurs. Specifically geared to help new or emergent business endeavors, my services are positioned to fill an instrumental role in establishing the creative foundation for integrated marketing campaigns, print and digital, from design and thematic concepts through photography/illustration creative direction and production. My growing client list includes both regional and national companies including New England Ropes (Fall River, MA), Hall Spars and Rigging (Bristol, RI), The Bridge (Atlanta, GA), and The Ceteris Group (Chicago, IL).

As assistant AD, I supported the Creative Director in determining the monthly creative course for two national, sailing-oriented, magazines, Sailing World and Cruising World. I helped establish a unifying aesthetic for feature articles and monthly columns, and my responsibilities included photo shoot direction, layout and design of feature articles and monthly columns, and photography selection from numerous outside sources.
