Mike Ballard is an entrepreneur, sales and marketing pro, career coach and trainer with 6 years career development experience. He is a Senior Career Consultant with the IMPACT Group, providing career development and management services to US corporate outplacement clients (www.ImpactGroupHR.com), and a factory rep for Suntrac hot water solar and Speakman AMAX evaporative air conditioning products.
Mike became Executive Director of Turning Points Research Institute in 2003. The family-run education firm was founded by his parents, and Mike's tenure marked a new direction for Turning Points. A new business plan, branding, marketing and key accounts were established. Mike raised over $300K in new funding to bring the Turning Points concepts to a mass, online audience. Mike developed training programs, edited and published 2 books, and developed 3 online product versions.
Ballard managed technical development, performed market research, conducted pilot testing, branded, monetized and rolled out True Path®, an online career management tool. Mike is an active member of the National Career Development Association, Denver Coach Federation and the Colorado Career Development Association, where he most recently served as Marketing Chair.
Mike was named to receive the 2007 JoAnn Harris Bowlsbey Award for Excellence in Technology and Curriculum Development by the Career Development Leadership Alliance (CDLA) of NCDA. He received his coach certification from NACTLI (www.NewAgreementsCoaching.com). As a trainer, he leads career workshops at the University of Colorado and Denver University, consistently receiving high marks for his public speaking and group facilitation skills. Mike has been invited to speak at 10 national and regional conferences, while he and Turning Points have been the subject of numerous regional and national media.
