Videozine started out as a video production services and to publish Visual Convergence magazine, hence our unique name - Videozine. We produced a number of corporate videos for companies such as RE/Max Ontario Atlantic, Buffet Taylor & Associates and MCAP. We also produced a real estate TV show for Rogers Cable in Oshawa.
Videozine marketed an affordable VHS to DVD Transfer service online through classified ads on Cragislist and SEO. Our online marketing was so successful for this service we expanded into SEO where today we are now concentrating on SEO for small business with a new division called SEO Services Toronto.

Visual Convergence was Canada's magazine for the Digital Content Creation Community. Visual Convergence was targeted to production professionals. (Video Producers, Interactive Digital Media Producers, Computer Graphics Designers and Animators).
I started writing for Visual Convergence part time in 1999. I was named the editor of Visual Convergence in June of 2001.
As the editor I was responsible for writing the editorial, gathering and editing stories, choosing the editorial direction of the magazine, and writing additional articles for the magazine. I was also the webmaster of the magazine from Day One. As the webmaster my responsibilities included being responsible for the accuracy of all content and its placement on the site, establishing and maintaining the look of the site and insuring the consistency of all content.
The magazine ceased publication in March of 2006, at which time I continued writing online as newMedia Mike.

Additionally I was the writer and producer of corporate videos for companies as diverse as: Gerdau Ameristeel, Herizon House, Schering Plough Pharmaceuticals, Ferrovial Agroman SE, Praxair, Durham College, and Ontario Investment Services.
I was co-producer for three seasons of “Our Town”, a weekly program aired on CHEX TV in Oshawa featuring local Durham Region businesses. I also was the co-producer of a golfing / talk show for CH TV 11 Hamilton, “Celebrity Golf with Ashley Chinner”.
I was able to bring AVTEL from $180,000 in annual sales to over $400,000 in annual sales during my time with the company.
