Miguel Caetano’s Summary
My professional and personal aims are to transform blogs and other participatory online media into powerful semi-profissionalized new media publications, capable of achieving the same degree of credibility, reputation, trustworthiness and quality than broadcast and other conventional news media.
My way of showing how this can be made from a top-down approach is by maintaining a daily updated blog in Portuguese at Remixtures.com which is specialized in Digital and Online Music and is steadily becoming the leader of its niche. If you're an advertiser who wants to sell a product to a very well educated and affluent audience, be sure to contact me.
Having said that, I'm also open to share my experience with audiences from the mainstream media, non-governamental organizations and the public sector by way of talks, conferences and lectures.
I also hope one day to achieve the goal of enrolling in a PhD program that will give me the opportunity to investigate with further depth the way digital technology has and is affecting producers and consumers of music, by way of erasing the traditional differences that separated those two roles.
