Russell Mickler’s Summary
My background features fourteen years of senior and mid-level IT department management inclusive of IT vendor relationship management, e-commerce strategy and deployments, data migrations, conversions, programming, and systems integration. Within these roles, I have concerned myself with strategic and tactical issues concerning technology expenses, capital projects, technology implementations, and deployments.
I earned my Masters of Science in Applied Information Management from the University of Oregon in 2000; I attended Marylhurst University for my undergraduate program. In addition, I've also earned Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification. A published technical author, I teach for the University of Phoenix in Portland, Oregon, as well as Keller Graduate School, DeVry University, Concordia University, and Colorado Technical University. I design courses as a curriculum developer for Keller and CTU. I run my own consulting practice to provide comprehensive technology services to small businesses. I live in Vancouver, Washington.
