Creative Genius at www.talkirish.com
Belfast, United Kingdom
I'm e-learning consultant and creative instructional design specialist, with a particular interest in online/mobile language learning. I'm always trying to figure out quick fun ways of teaching content to mildly engaged learners. Some of my most interesting ideas have come from dreams.
I'm a keen blogger, and my blogs (www.liquidelearning.com and http://talkirish.com/blogs/wordaday/default.aspx) have been nominated for several awards.
I am happiest when equipped with a healthy budget and creative freedom to scope, script and produce learning content for the Internet and emerging platforms. I've spent my career working with local, national and international clients. I'm able to influence at all levels to achieve results.
I produce usable, accessible content that are compliant with W3C guidelines and UK Disability Discrimination and US Section 508 legislation.
Wireframing and mapping complex database-driven websites and creative learning resources. Development of visual designs and storyboarding creative, user-centred content. Production of stylesheets and guidelines ensuring continuity of visual, written and editorial standards. Creation of accessible, usable content. Production of multiplatform content (radio, television, online, mobile). Editorial and technical background ensuring a close attention to detail for quality control.
