Michele Bianco’s Summary

Michele has over 23 years experience in Telecommunications and ICT Security; he started working in 1985 in Thompson Group Research & Development (HDTV) an then in SIP (the Italian incumbent operator) where he’s been active in the CCITT and ETSI standardization activity (Working Group NA5) of BroadBand Networks MAN, SMDS and ATM. He has partecipated to all the Broadband Pilots and Projects for Public Broadband Italian Networks and dedicated Main Italian Top Customers.
Michele has designed and develped the Intranet of Telecom Italia Group for over 120.000 employees and he has organized and directed the first Internet Security Office of the main Italian Internet Service Provider (Tin.it and Virgilio within over 5 Million users).
In the last 10 years Michele has worked in Security in Italy both in Telecom Italia Group and Bull Group as a “Partner” and in Telecom Italia as a “Defender”.
Michele Bianco most recently had a leading role in conceiving and launching many successful innovative security consultant services and architectural solutions as ISO 27001 assessment, Security Operating Centers and ISO 15408 Evaluations for Security Certifications with one of the first LVS accreditated by OCSI and ANS (National Security Authority).
In 2007 Michele was engaged by GFI Informatique as Chief Security Officer to create and organize the GFI Italia Security Competence Center and to accreditate as LVS the GFI Security Lab.
