founder and ceo of "ki work". the platform for outsourcing online work.
ki work is a social utility for online work. essentially it's a search facility for freelance professionals to find online work projects, and for project buyers to find these professionals. however not only can professionals gain access to work through ki work searches, but ki work also provides ways to 'bounce' professionals' portable 'ki-offers' around social networks, blogs and job boards, encouraging maximum web visibility for them.
what makes ki work additionally unique is its trust-building system. as well as having a reputation status based on performance, matching expectations, and recommendations, professionals can pay a subscription to a 'ki expert' for accreditation. assuming that the ki experts (who must themselves be accredited) maintain a high level of reputation, this provides valuable information for the prospective buyer, knowing that a candidate has already been (at least partially) screened and vetted.
furthermore, ki work's model includes a role for 'category leaders', or specialists in a particular field who can lease an entire work category, and can earn from all transactions that take place within it. the idea is that eventually ki work will be a self-managing system, driven entirely by category leaders, who themselves can earn substantially from co-ordinating thriving categories.
my mission is to enable professional freelancers to find online work from wherever they are; to achieve a sustainable income; fulfilment through work; and a reduced carbon footprint.
the future of work is online - the future of work is ki work. see www.ki-work.com
