Michael aspires to make a positive difference in people's lives through counseling and education --helping people to achieve optimal mental health, increased vitality and emotional well-being. Michael works with individuals, families and groups to alleviate the distress that accompanies emotional, behavioral and psychological struggles. His experience includes the treatment of anxiety, depression, addictive behaviors, relationship problems, severe mental disorders and career guidance. He has special training in substance use problems, sexual addiction, gambling addiction and food addictions.

The Master of Arts in Professional Counseling program, prepares one to pursue state licensure and national certification. This degree program provides appropriate education for students seeking career opportunities in mental health agencies, private practices, ministry related counseling centers, and other public and private facilities.
The Professional Counseling degree provides students with a thorough background in areas of integration of faith and practice; individual and group counseling theories and skills; clinical practice; ethical, professional, and legal issues in counseling; social and cultural factors in counseling; human development across the lifespan; work, leisure, and career development theories and interventions; appraisal and assessment issues in counseling; and the application of research methodology and statistics to understand mental health issues.
