Michael is a proven C-level leader in New-Media and CPG, with demonstrated ability to grow new and existing businesses. Michael has launched and managed one of the most successful new networks in Digital-Out-of-Home (PRN), and has managed multiple established CPG brands to significant growth in sales and profit (while at Quaker Oats).
During Michael’s tenure at PRN, the company:
• Generated $1+ billion USD (from a base of < $1 million / yr)
• Built distribution of 200,000+ screens in 6,000+ retail stores
• Formed partnerships with 100+ Fortune-500 advertisers
• Developed long-term relationships with 6 of America’s top-12 retailers
• Executed a corporate sale for $280 million USD, delivering significant return to investors, employees and management
While at PRN, Michael built and managed company functions critical to distribution growth, revenue growth and effective operation of customer facing services, including: Product Development, Sales Development, Research, Programming and Production, Corporate Communications, and Field Support / Network Uptime. Michael also served as the company’s spokesperson, industry presenter and representative to various Boards.
Michael is a co-founder and Executive Board Member of the OVAB (Out-of-Home Video Ad Bureau) and served as a Board Member for both POPAI and The DSE.
Michael’s unique strengths are: Monetization; Business model optimization; Consumer proposition development; Attracting top talent; Corporate culture and vision; Organizing internal functions for growth; Industry organization and leadership.
Many of these strengths were originally refined at the QUAKER OATS Company where Michael managed and grew multiple $100+ million brands, with P&L accountability and responsibility for traditional marketing, retail marketing, product development, positioning, production, etc.
Michael lives in Berkeley, CA with his wife and daughter. He is a graduate of Brown University.

Quaker Oatmeal Portfolio: Managed the P&L for Quaker's core portfolio while launching the company's first "Customer Business Center" for the Western US. Managed Quaker's largest business unit, to 11 consecutive quarters of profit and sales growth and validated the company's CBC concept, resulting in a nationwide rolled-out, that effectively pushed business intelligence, accountability and control closer to the customer.
Quaker Chewy Granola Bars: Radically restructured the brand's promotional strategies, funding and tactics; developed its "Low Fat" product line; and streamlined SKU assortment to improve productivity, profit and product availability. During this time, annual sales increased 14% (after 9 years of declines) and the brand regained its #1 share position vs. Kellogg's.
LIFE Cereal: Launched one of the most successful consumer promotions in the Ready-to-Eat-Cereals industry, increasing baseline sales 13% (after 10 years of decline), and resulting in a long-term, co-equity franchise that was repeated for 5 years on over 50 million boxes.
