Software and Consulting Services for migrating applications from Mainframe to Linux, UNIX, and Windows.
In June of 2009 I completed a conversion of agent data from LIDP (The Administrator) to FIS (ALIS) for Columbian Financial Group. The conversion involved consolidating agent data from several systems and many spreadsheets into a single database called XBase. Hundreds of tests were performed on the source data to catch incompatible data. Complex SQL queries were used to deal with the many-to-one relationships in the data, that is: many source records were consolidated to a single destination record. Groovy scripting was used to access a Java based address validation library (MelissaData).
Success demonstrated by no post go-live issues on a project involving the conversion of 96,000 agent accounts.
