Michael Kosmatka’s Summary

Educated at The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a focus in Art & Technology, I understand the relationship between art and science and its impact on our everyday lives.

Most recently, on Google's Corporate Engineering team, I was overseeing the experience design of many core internal Google applications; e.g. mobile enterprise social apps, profile creation and editing, Googler search, compensation and bonus planning, hiring process, performance management, career management, and headcount allocation tools.

With a specific focus in User Experience, I appreciate simple yet efficient design while lovingly guarding the rights of the user.

I'm intimately familiar with the conceptual development process. Whether it be from a requirement document or scribbles on paper, I can quickly absorb new technologies and techniques. I'm able to integrate into existing development pipelines as well. I excel at team collaboration and communication.

I'm an effective team player, known for creativity, flexibility, and timeliness. In fact, a former creative director noted: "Michael brings a sense of urgency to his tasks. He's warm, communicative, and has a wonderful sense of humor."

Michael Kosmatka’s Specialties:
