Michael Johns is a heallth care executive and an accomplished national leader in the American health care industry with global recognition for his contributions to the industry's medical device, medical supply, home health, pharmaceutical and specialty pharmaceutical segments.
Mr. Johns' industry expertise includes executive management, sales and marketing management, operational efficiency, Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance contract and reimbursement management, investor and public relations, the development and implementation of organic and acquisition-oriented growth and business spin-off strategies and other industry functions.
Prior to his current executive position, Mr. Johns managed the largest division and served as corporate Vice President for Electric Mobility Corporation, one of the country's premiere medical device companies. In this capacity, he drove top-line sales from $3.8 million to $30 million in three years, increased divisional profit contribution by 150 percent, and reduced Medicare, Medicaid, and managed care DSO by 75 percent.
In driving divisional revenue growth, Mr. Johns developed, implemented and managed an elaborate and successful growth strategy that included the development of a 90-person clinical sales force from scratch, the initiation of some 200 third party payer contracts, and a predictive modeling marketing and internal sales strategy based on patient diagnoses and other factors.
Prior to beginning his health care management career in 1994, Mr. Johns was a White House speechwriter to the President of the United States, a senior aide to the Governor of New Jersey and a U.S. Senator, and a policy analyst and editor at one of the nation's most influential public policy research institutes.
