Assistant Professor / Consultant in Applied Computer Graphics Technology & Interactive e-Learning
Greater Chicago Area
As a technology professional and educator, I am interested in the applied systems and conceptual methodologies for the design, development, and implementation of new media applications. Within this broad topic, my research falls within three specific areas: interactive visualization, visual perception, and new media literacy. The focus of my work is to understand how computer graphics can be employed to enhance the educational impact of complex concepts, especially within a participatory culture. In order to reach a better understanding of these topics, I commit myself to three core practices; investigating the technical and ethical implementations of applied graphics technology; documenting the effects applied computer graphics technology has on the human condition; and finally by expanding the applications of computer graphics technology to all communities for which it can serve.
