Hi, my name is Micah Max Schmiedeskamp and I am a graphic designer from Omaha Nebraska. I am currently looking for full-time, part-time or freelance work. I specialize in print design, the screen printing process, branding and conceptual design. I’ve worked with clients ranging from national insurance companies all the way down to small scope local startups. I’ve worked for agencies of various sizes and personalities and have individual freelance work experience. I love what I do and am dedicated to producing high quality work.
Print design, screen printing, posters, music composition, branding, advertising, marketing, communication, and beer advocacy.

February 2008 — February 2009 (1 year 1 month)
I did a large amount of brand fulfillment work for a national Financial client and was able to work on a few odds and ends along the way. Unfortunately, just after completing 1 year with the agency, I was laid-off and was thrust into the world of freelance. Oh, 2009. You so crazy!

October 2006 — February 2008 (1 year 5 months)
Primary hire in start-up screen printing shop / tour merchandising service provider. The shop was created by Saddle Creek Records in an effort to expand their ever-growing empire. I act as one half of Ink Tank's daily operations. My business card says "Art Department / Production" but the reality is that I handle each job from art files in my inbox to printed shirts sent off in a UPS truck.

March 2006 — October 2006 (8 months)
At Sacco, I adjusted to a smaller organization and the more hands-on role of Art Director. Though my time there was short, I gained valuable experience and inspiration from a few exciting colleagues. I worked heavily in concepting, web assistance, general design and production work.

June 2004 — March 2006 (1 year 10 months)
I snuck on staff at Bailey Lauerman immediately after graduation as an Intern that slowly morphed in to a Designer. BLA is an incredible organization that truly formed my view of what an Ad Agency should and could be. I worked for a wide variety clients ranging from gigantic insurance agencies and jewelry retail to professional lawn mowing and over-the-road trucking. I worked heavily in production work, prepress, graphic design and concepting.

Music, mp3s, Apple Computers, biking, Volkswagens, screen printing, Coca-Cola, typography, hi-fi audio, rock posters, beer drinking, pizza with potatoes on it and those really nice fine point Micron pens that come in three-packs...
Work I've been involved in has been featured in a Graphis Poster annual, HOW monthly publication, and in a recent Art Directors Club annual. I also faired well in local design competitions as both a student and as a professional.
