Michael Hackmer’s Summary

Over the last 10 years my experience has been in marketing, sales, public relations and government affairs. I have successfully managed marketing campaigns for the world's leading technology companies, as well as developed public relations and government affairs strategies for the nation's leading retail corporations. My experience includes the federal government and the private sector, as well as US and Latin American markets.

Currently I am involved in utilizing social media and traditional marketing for several divisions within BIA/Kelsey. My work at BIA/Kelsey includes using social networking for marketing and lead generation, developing new product branding, building websites and blogs, and other marketing roles. I work successfully with contractors in marketing, graphics / design, website development and public relations.

Apart from my work at BIA/Kelsey, I have a marketing consulting firm that I manage in my spare time. The goal is to help companies identify ways in which they can use social media in their strategic marketing and business development plans.

In November of 2008 I started a weekly radio program called The Mike Hackmer Show, which covers topics in media, new media, technology and marketing.

My goals include learning more about Social Media, networking and technology - especially in how they are changing the way we communicate with one another, process information, and make purchasing decisions. In addition to my desire to expand BIA/Kelsey's various lines of business, I would like to continue to expand my network in the Americas, write and publish poetry and fiction works I have been developing, travel to other parts of the world, and last but certainly not least, provide an excellent life for my daughter and family.
