Up until 2005 I studied computer sciences. My diploma thesis on hand-gesture detection was published in 2007 as a book. In 2010 I joined it-agile GmbH, Hamburg, Germany, after having been a testing group leader for three years with Orga Systems GmbH. I am the co-founder of the European chapter in Weekend Testing, a black-belt instructor in the Miagi-Do school of Software Testing, contribute to the ATDD-Patterns writing community as well as the Software Craftsmanship movement. Regularly I present at Agile and testing conferences, as well as dedicating myself to writing about testing, foremost in an Agile context.

    The goal of this meeting is to build relationships and ideas that are useful to the greater test community in the area of coaching, to develop plans to advance the practice of test coaching, and the field of software testing. We want to provide at least one definition of test coaching that stands up to scrutiny, examples of test coaching, ideas to help people get started (or continue) in test coaching, along with starting several projects designed to advance the role of the test coach, the field or software testing, the mission of the Association for Software Testing, or all three.

    Der Mensch ist daran gewöhnt, imtäglichen Leben die Hände unterstützend zur verbalen Kommunikation einzusetzen. Für die Interaktion mit einem Computerstellt diese Interaktionsform wegen der Variantenvielfalt eine Herausforderung dar. Das Buch geht sowohl auf die allgemeinen Herausforderungen bei der Handgestenerkennung also auch auf die speziellen im Interaktionsszenario ein und zeigt einen Ansatz auf, der durch Kombination von Oberkörpertracking im Zusammenspiel mit einem leistungsfähigen Detektor in der Lage ist, Handgesten zu erkennen.
