Goodwin lead ITV’s mobile strategy and was responsible for growing new revenues from this platform for ITV.
Core strategic activities included the ongoing commercial development of ITV’s mobile portals, maximising distribution of ITV’s content across operator portals, mobile TV, user-generated content and mobile advertising & marketing. Melissa was accountable for shaping and directing ITV’s mobile content play, working closely with stakeholders across the business from production to ad sales.
Previously, Melissa was Vice President Interactive and Telephony FremantleMedia Enterprises & was responsible for managing the telephony and interactive businesses in the UK and remit included maximising FremantleMedia’s portfolio of rights and the exploitation of new commercial opportunities. Goodwin drove FremantleMedia’s efforts to grow its business into new revenue and earnings streams in the digital and telephony space, in particular, online, podcasting, mobile and related digital content areas. Melissa had day-to-day responsibility for the company's growing interactive and telephony business, including voting on The X Factor, home viewer competitions across all entertainment formats, the commercialisation of websites and the development of mobile content and games around FremantleMedia and talkbackTHAMES' extensive TV properties in the UK.
Goodwin was with FremantleMedia for over five years having previously held the positions of Vice President EMEA and Sales & Marketing Manager Asia, where she looked after all ancillary rights activity across the regions. She moved into these positions from the initial role of Sales & Marketing Manager, Interactive, where Melissa focussed on FremantleMedia’s Interactive business (mobile, online and interactive TV) for 2 years.
Prior to joining FremantleMedia Goodwin worked for Television New Zealand.
