I have worked on various freelance projects since 1998; these projects involved producing website mockups in photoshop, and coding these sites using html and css.

From 2002-2005 I was involved in the development and day to day running of an online community for motorcycle rider's called BikeTorque.Net, using a php/mysql backend this site included articles and tips for riding and bike maintenance, a classifieds section allowing user's to post items for sale or wanted to buy, and the all important forum which was the thing to do at the time.

In recent years (from around 2003 onwards) I have done a fair bit of freelance work with a company called Hot Design, providing services such as php/mysql coding, (x)HTML, CSS, JavaScript (including Ajax) and Interface Design.

My role as a front-end developer involved designing templates and implementing eCommerce websites using JSP/JSTL, CSS, xHTML, and Javascript.

During my time at iSell I worked with other members of the Web team and the Java team to develop the version 5 iSell eCommerce and eService Manager applications. These applications are powered by a Java back-end with a strict standards based front-end, separation of presentation, functionality and content, this is done by using css based layouts, unobtrusive JavaScript, and most importantly semantically structured markup.
