ICANN is responsible for the global coordination of the Internet's system of unique identifiers. These include domain names (like .org, .museum and country codes like .UK), as well as the addresses used in a variety of Internet protocols. Computers use these identifiers to reach each other over the Internet. Careful management of these resources is vital to the Internet's operation, so ICANN's global stakeholders meet regularly to develop policies that ensure the Internet's ongoing security and stability. My main duty is to ensure the daily server and network operations of ICANN Infrastructure. I am also technical lead to the IT-OPs team that consist of System Administrators and Network Engineers. Negotiations with Vendors, Datacenters World Wide to deploy ICANN Hosted Services.

Dr. Oscar Moreno, Director & Founder of Gauss Research Laboratory and ccTLD .PR Manager , have adopted the project. Currently IX.PR is part of Gauss Research Laboratory serving Puerto Rico.

Implementations made on NIC.PR: IPv6 , Anycast DNS on Secondary DNS , Physical Multi-homing , BGP Multi-Homing the Core Network of NIC.PR. I have installed Windows and Linux Servers as well as Cisco L2 & L3 switches for this company and maintained them for 2+ years remotely. I was in charge of all the IT Equipment purchase and I managed to get approval for an equipment of nearly nearly half million USD with the proposals and projects I wrote during my time working for the purchase of computers, servers, switches, routers, etc. I have reported directly to the President of CIQA, Ramon Cayuela in this position.

That's where I have met with DDoS and started to think of methods to stop and/or prevent it. The server was administrated by Senior Network Engineer and one of my closest friend in the world, Pascal Gloor. He made me his co-administrator when I was 18 and thought me a lot of things from network to linux, real life. etc. The Geneva server was hosted by Cable & Wireless Switzerland and after that by European Nuclear Research Center (CERN). The purpose of hosting this server at CERN was to help students who were researching about DDoS and trying to find ways to stop it. Project has been completed at 2005.

I was a disc jockey at Radio Klas 98.7 , one of the top 5 radio stations with 50M reachability and 2M average listener. I made the first internet radio program at 1999 in Turkey. Where I was making software recommendations to the listeners as well as website recommendations in different subjects. I also had famous IT executives as my guest and we were discussion about Turkish Internet in future. This was the first %100 dedicated to Internet and IT media broadcasting in Turkey.
