August 1989 — Present (20 years)
I chose the category 'Arts & Crafts' as my 'Industry' because that best describes the two aspects of my work.
I started my freelance illustration business (that's the 'Arts' portion) in 1989, specializing in publications for kids-- for their education and entertainment. I illustrate for grownups, too, when a whimsical piece of art is needed to perk up a page!
My illustrations run the gamut from traditionally-created to digitally-created, with stops in-between.
I've also begun a second business, with different product lines made with fiber/fabric (that's the 'Crafts' portion). Currently, I am designing & creating pillows, tea & egg cozies, and finger puppets, and have been exhibiting @ craft shows, as well as selling items via online and "brick & mortar" shops.
* NEW * : I am now licensing artwork from both my Arts & my Crafts portfolios.
Portfolios available upon request to manufacturers.
