My company, Mediasmith is very active in emerging media technolgies, social media and search and how these three work in conjunction with web display and traditional media.

At the spring 2007 San Francisco @d:tech, I was awarded one of the first ever Individual Achievement Awards. I am greatly honored to have received this award.

Previous accomplishments include that of my company being named to the San Francisco Business Times 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies (#47). A lot of this growth was due to the work done by Mediasmith on the introduction of Napster 2.0. We won five industry awards for this work including an Effie.

I have contributed articles and interviews in an extensive range of media over the past two decades. I am a regular speaker at Industry events including iMedia, @d:tech, I-Com, OMMA, Forecast and others. I write regularly for a number of industry publications and Web sites including Fast Company, iMediaConnection and MediaPost. I have a major involvement in national committee work to establish and refine standards in metrics, business practices and financial issues for Interactive advertising with organization such as the AAAA’s, IAB, OPA and the ARF. My advisory board involvement includes OPA, IAB and others.

I am best known for my work to help further standards in the advertising media industry. This includes work done with I/PRO in the early days for site audits, lobbying for the impression definition standard recently adopted, standards in reach and frequency and other issues as well as founding the ARF's Online Media Council and serving as chair for 2+ years.

Today, Mediasmith is applying our expertise to Mcubed, the convergence of Emerging Media Technologies, Social Media and Search and the next generation dashboard for media metrics and tracking we call MediaTrakr.
