April 2002 — Present (6 years 4 months)
The majority of my work is helping strengthen independent media in transition and post-conflict countries through capacity building and change-management. I help media leaders define their core editorial propositions, identify their audience, and become financially sustainable through delivering impartial and objective journalism that informs the public debate.
I run a website, Media Helping Media (www.mediahelpingmedia.org) to continue to support those I have been working with and to act as an online meeting place for those working for freedom of expression and the building of a strong, sustainable and independent media.
I continue to do commercial work and my recent and current clients include: Livestation, BBC Interactive, ITV (UK), Al Jazeera English, CNBC Europe and Amnesty International (some details listed below).
