My first real job - I worked at Silica to fund my way through university! Based in premium retail locations around London (e.g. Selfridges and Harrods), Silica was the UK'sl leading retailer of personal computers, dominating the market when Commodore Amigas and Atari STs were the order of the day.
I learned a great deal about sales, consulting and - of course - technology.
My favourite time working for Silica was working in the Business Department in the Tottenham Court Road branch where we sold computer systems to corporates, video production companies and musicians.
