Maryam Dadkhah’s Summary

Maryam Dadkhah, graduated in Nutrition Sciences from Shaheed Beheshti University. She worked in Iran for over 8 years in different nutritional setting from dormitory foodservice, to private practice and family magazine. Her Ms’ thesis (compliance toward weight loss diets) opened a window in her life. Obesity treatment and weight management became her passion for the rest of her career path and gave her an extensive experience so far. In addition, she obtained a certificate in adult weight loss management from American Dietetic Association. She is a registered dietitian (RD) both in Canada and USA. She used to be a research dietitian at USDA assisting with latest studies in the nutrition field. Afterwards she worked as a clinical dietitian at Children’s National Medical Center working at Pediatric ICU and Children’s Research Center. Currently she works part time as health promotion dietitian at Student health center while she pursuing her PhD in nutrition at the department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University. Her dissertation is going to be in community nutrition under supervision of professor James Hill at CU and professor Chris Melby at CSU in field of obesity.
