YelloSoft hosts open source software written in a variety of languages (C++, Java, Perl, Python, Ruby) for multiple platforms (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux). Each application is designed with users in mind.
The website also hosts a number of web applications using dynamic frameworks (Rails, PHP) and modern web standards (validated XHTML, CSS, RSS). YelloSoft is designed to be viewable in any browser, accessible to the disabled, and adapt from small (mobile) to large (HD) screens by stretching. YelloSoft is quick to load and viewable with any modern web browser.

Wrote “Bruce Banner,” an application to display U.S. system security classification information.
Developed Wires Cut Linux, a custom operating system designed for developing software in networkless environments. The system uses minimal resources and can boot directly from a CD.
Created a portable USB web server, “Pinky.” Gave a live demonstration of Pinky as an example of the power of Ruby. Promoted dynamic frameworks and increased maintainability.

Scavenged spare computer parts to construct a wiki server, then moved several Word documents onto the wiki. Used this website to publish standard operating procedures for using lab equipment. Once a cumbersome process, sharing and updating documents is now streamlined.
Wrote a firewall debugger to assist engineers in troubleshooting connection problems. For the project, learned Perl and networking fundamentals. Studied CISSP and lectured on network security.
