Mike graduated from Ball State University with a Masters of Architecture. While at Ball State, he was awarded several architectural and academic honors. He has a strong interest in Urban Design, Preservation, and Landscape Architecture. Mike currently helps with the Lima, OH Downtown Main Street organization and lead a charrette with the City of Lima while he was a masters student. The goal of the charrette was to provide the city with concepts and ideas that can be used to enhance quality of life, encourage economic growth and stress the importance of connecting the downtown core with a mass transit hub for future high speed rail. Mike was the keynote speaker at the Wake Rattle and Role conference as a result of his work on this charrette. As an accomplished golfer, Mike was the 2002 Midwest Athletic Conference individual champion. He also has a pilot’s license and enjoys flying in his free time. Mike is a member of All Aboard Ohio, Columbus Landmarks Foundation, and the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association.
