November 2008 — Present (1 year 2 months)
I am a host and the simulation consultant on Spike TV's "Deadliest Warrior," where history's greatest warriors are pitted against each other in a computer simulation. The simulation's inputs include scientific data gathered by one of my co-hosts, Geoff Desmoulin, a Ph.D. candidate in Biomedical Engineering. Our number crunching is balanced out by Dr. Armand Dorian, an ER doctor who keeps our work firmly grounded in the actual trauma our tests cause.
I run the aforementioned combat simulation, provide color commentary, write the show's "pre-game" blog, and get to use some of my Classics learnin'.
Our complete first season is streaming online at http://warrior.spike.com, and you can download full episodes in HD via iTunes, Xbox Live, or PSN.
We premiered on Tuesday, April 7th, to an audience of 1.76 million, making us the highest rated one-hour cable series premiere this year (thus far) among men 18-49 and men 18-34.
Due to the success of our initial episodes, Spike.com has started a series of post-show webisodes called "The Aftermath," where we respond to the comments and questions sent in by viewers after each week's matchup.
We are currently filming our second season (13 episodes!) and with an airdate set for Spring 2010.
