As the DBA co-op in the Business Intelligence group, my duties came from both the DBA group and Business Intelligence group. Each day I completed DBA On Duty tasks including adding, modifying and troubleshooting Oracle accounts during regular business hours. Other daily tasks included monitoring a SAS environment for stalled sessions and processes, documenting SAS jobs and common errors, developing context diagrams for SAS processes and copying SAS programs from development and test environments to production. In my time as the DBA co-op, I also set up our departmental Sharepoint portal, participated in ITS "People Development" team meetings, and trained and assisted my fellow Business Intelligence co-op. Currently, I am promoting social networking at PJM and trying to get involved in meetings with the intranet team among others to discuss adopting a modern social networking solution.
