During the last fifteen years Mauro Sotille has been providing Project Management consulting services to corporations in Brazil, USA, Europe and Latin America.
He is the owner of PM Tech, a project management training and consulting company specialized in project and risk management, PMP Certification preparation courses and Project Management Office (PMO) implementation. Before, Mauro had a position as a Project Manager for Hewlett-Packard, during fourteen years.
Mauro is co-author of the books "How to become a Project Management Professional” and “Project Scope Management”.
He holds Master Certificates in Business Administration (MBA) and in Computer Science, Bachelor degrees in Engineering and in Computer Science and is pursuing a PhD degree. He has been developing project management post-graduation courses at several Universities, presented papers in Brazil, USA and Europe and writes articles for many magazines.
Mauro is certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 1998 and ITIL Foundations Certified since 2004.
He is member of the Project Management Institute (PMI), the most important organization in the field of project management, serving as member of the PMI Community Development Member Advisory Group. Mauro is founder member of the first Brazilian PMI Chapters, Past President of the PMI-RS Chapter and PMI-ISSIG Regional Ambassador for South America. Mauro is also a graduate of the PMI Leadership Institute Masters Class.
He has been member of several PMI project teams, as PMBOK Guide (the most important reference in the world concerning project management), PMBOK Guide translation revision, OPM3, Program Management, Risk Management and Scheduling Standards.
He is also Director of the Brazilian Computer Users Association (SUCESU), member of the Global Association for Risk Professionals (GARP) and Professional Risk Management International Association (PRMIA).
