Areas of expertise: executive collaboration, strategic and operational planning, IT alignment and governance, innovation / research and development, business process reengineering, change management, portfolio management, IT risk management, and IT budget administration.
Currently serve as Program Chair for the North Carolina Society for Information Management and as CIO for Health Decisions, a clinical research organization, where I oversee management of people, processes, priorities, deliverables, architecture, systems, services, and service providers across six IT functions. Past engagements include PogoHealth, GlaxoSmithKline, Coca-Cola, and Boeing. Accomplishments:
* Delivered a multi-million dollar Clinical Trial Management System while overhauling the department and virtualizing the server infrastructure.
* Rescued a troubled offshore project and built an IT function from scratch to launch a successful start-up company and win the Web Marketing Association's 2008 WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Website Development.
* Led more than 40 top-rated seminars on management and leadership topics for Fortune 500 clients across the country.
* Director of a Project Management Office with responsibility for 40 projects, generating millions of dollars in new revenue.
* Led a 30-person global team through a $5M business process reengineering program, culminating in the delivery of a Supply Chain Web portal, netting millions of dollars in annual cost savings.
* Responsible for a 20-person team that built inbound and outbound computer-telephony, knowledge management, and customer relationship management systems for a new call center, resulting in millions of dollars in productivity gains.
