    Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Marketing in Los Angeles, my role was to conceive and establish a UK-based, International Marketing Department, responsible for relaying the Global strategy and implementing and controlling territory-specific activities for both our existing and new television and movie brands.

    This involved creating and managing a network of 11 agencies across the globe, responsible for Sales & Marketing, licensing and PR. Budgetary responsibility = £2m

    • Brand Guardian for Classic properties such as The Muppet Show and Fraggle Rock, pre-school favourite Bear in the Big Blue House, as well as a vast catalogue of additional characters, movies and shows.

    • Devising International and localised advertising, marketing & retail campaigns
    • Major retail promotions and marketing
    • Managing and supporting external International agencies (TV sales)
    • Overall responsibility for TV advertising / stings / sponsorships
    • Instrumental in the use of our characters in high-profile TV campaigns for Renault, MasterCard and Virgin Atlantic
    • On and Off-air promotional activity with terrestrial and satellite channels to increase ratings and awareness for our shows.
    • Overseeing Consumer Products/Licensing
    o Instrumental in UK and Pan-European deals with Tomy, Simon & Schuster, Penguin, Character World, Mattel, Robert Frederick, Martin Yaffe, Palisades and more...
    • In control of PR
    • Negotiating several major third-party promotions with Pan-European partners
    • Live events, theatre shows, character appearances and trade shows.
    • Incremental revenues generated - in excess of $5 million.
