Matt Pippen, an 19-year-old student and entrepreneur, has been involved in various new media fields for nearly the past four years. Beginning his journey with his own personal blog and podcast in 2005 at the age of 14, he has ‘problogged’ for b5media and continues with MacFocus Magazine as well as freelancing. He is now actively involved in new media evangelization.
Matt is currently the President/CEO of Teen Media Productions, a digital media production company that produces and distributes several forms of teen-produced digital media on its sites. TMP is an entire community run by teens, for teens that is split into three different sections: new media networks, services, and in-house productions.
In addition to Teen Media Productions, Matt is an IT consultant for his own firm. He consults personal clients and many different scale companies that make anywhere from thousands of dollars per year to in upward of one million of dollars per year.
Matt attended Monahans High School in Monahans, TX where he graduated in 2009 as the Salutatorian of his class. He participated in cross country, band, one act play, UIL, FTA, student council, and speech/debate (UIL, TFA, and NFL). He currently attends Texas Tech University, studying mechanical engineering as a member of the Honors College. He is also a member of the Texas Tech debate team and the Texas Tech chapter of Engineers Without Borders.

Teen Media Productions is a parent company to some of the hottest and most influential websites in online teen media, such as Teen Podcasters Network, Teen Bloggers Network, and MacFocus Magazine. In addition, TMP creates a community for teens in new media to meet each other and trade tips and tricks.
I developed and currently maintaining/managing high-traffic websites, with my staff, under Teen Media Productions using the Wordpress CMS. I also maintain day-to-day operations of running the network. TMP sites have been featured on TWiT, Rocketboom, and many other online media outlets.
This position has been a major test of my skills in leadership and innovation. Furthermore, I have learned about creating an online startup, especially when you are low on resources.

Since August 2004, I have went under the name of my personal IT consulting business. It provides services to many local companies and small businesses, as well as formerly to the school district and many other individuals.
The services provided have taught me several key points of running a business. I feel the most important of these skills is the ability and importance of delivering quality results on time.

As the district's IT tech, I managed and secured the company's technological resources such as our WDSed wireless network with a VPN connection to our corporate office, to name a single item. I also maintained company computers, laptops, and servers and provide consulting on any IT projects, such as purchases, in the district offices across Texas and New Mexico.
This position has not only greatly improved my knowledge and skills in the IT field, but it has taught me the importance and skill of being self-sufficient due to my main supervisor being located in Vernal, UT.

I shared my tips, tricks,and skills on the iPhone with an audience of tens of thousands on a monthly basis though the emerging global new media network - b5media.
Blogging required a passion and commitment to push out creative content on a daily basis. Along with developing my creative side, b5media was also my official launch into the world of journalism. I have maintained this interest currently by writing for MacFocus Magazine, a publication of Teen Media Productions.
