Tobias Adam provide consulting and interim management services to both public and private sector clients, primarily focussed business analysis, process and solution design and project management. These skills are typically deployed in the areas of recruitment, HR, payroll and billing functions.
Some of my key projects have included;
* Capita Resourcing are a leading provider of recruitment services to the public and private sectors. I was recruited in an interim management role to help them improve their service delivery in a number of areas including; a review of their capabilities in relation to candidate sourcing, playing a pivotal role in improving service delivery to Essex County Council and a high profile consulting project with the House of Commons which I led very successfully.
* AIRS has helped over 70% of Fortune 500 companies identify and acquire some of their top talent via its innovative training and sourcing technology. On the back of this success, they looked to expand outside of the US and they approached me to help them launch into the UK market. My role encompassed all aspects of this task including product design, sales, marketing, partner acquisition and management, client services etc. We achieved some considerable successes in a short period of time. Both directly and with our partners we secured a number of significant clients including HSBC, Barclays, Credit Suisse, Alexander Mann, Hays etc.
* Williams Lea are a leading provider of document management services to the corporate market. They have extensive recruitment needs and a large in house recruitment team. I was contracted to help them quantify their requirements for a technology solution and identify a suitable provider
* Over the years I have carried out many other projects for a diverse range of clients including software houses, insurance brokers, lettings agents etc

MrTed are one the global leaders in the provision of Applicant Tracking Solutions. They count many leading corporates amongst their client base; including Siemens, Fortis, ASML, TomTom etc. They are a truly innovative solutions provider that leads the market in many areas.
* I was recruited to spearhead their drive into the Contingent marketplace. They were one the first technology providers to recognise that, whilst many companies invest heavily in their permanent recruitment strategies, the recruitment and management of their contingent workforce is often overlooked, yet is an area where very significant financial and efficiency savings can be achieved and this has a direct impact on a companies productivity.
* In the time I was there, I redesigned the contingent placement and timesheet management capabilities and specified significant enhancements including supplier management and self billing. I implemented an internal awareness program of the opportunities that Contingent represents and worked with the Professional Services team to ensure that Contingent was properly documented within the implementation strategies.
* I worked very closely with the sales team and was directly involved in launching Contingent in two main areas; for direct customer and prospects, we introduced the concept of Contingent. This was an example of a provider driving the market in many cases and we achieved some significant wins in this area, including Siemens and ASML. I also worked very closely with my colleague that heads up the RPO division. From an almost standing start, we gained considerable traction in this market, securing a significant number of new clients, including prestigious companies such as Capita, Kelly and TMP.

February 2001 — May 2006 (5 years 4 months)
In February 2001 myself and 2 others started expressHR Solutions with an idea. In the five years after it’s inception we built one of the most successful providers of Vendor Management Solutions in the UK;
* We secured many of the UK’s leading recruitment companies as client’s, including Manpower, Pertemps, Allegis, Eden Brown and Reed Health.
* In partnership with clients, we deployed our solution to many of this country’s leading corporates, including National Grid Transco, Centrica, BOC, Fujitsu, HP, T-Mobile, EDS, Reuters and many public sector clients.
* A consortium of 32 local authorities went out to tender for the contract to outsource the management of all of their temporary staff. 50% of the companies that pitched for this contract proposed our technology as a fundamental part of their proposition. We supported the successful bidder and rolled our solution out to 9 local authorities..
* Our systems were responsible for helping to manage over £300million of recruitment spend per annum.
* We were selling and implementing 2 new systems per month and taking an average of 10 weeks from signed order to go live.
In 3 years we grew the company on limited funds from 3 staff to 40+. My role and personal achievements encompassed product design, sales and implementations

July 1998 — June 2000 (2 years )
I joined as a Director for what was an excellent, if basic, recruitment agency management system that had a client base of about 50 with very little sales and marketing having been carried out. My responsibilities and achievements were;
* I built and managed a sales team of 3 as well as taking personal responsibility for key sales. When I joined the company they were achieving £250K per annum in sale of product and services. Between June ’99 and June ’00 I played a pivotal role in achievingM of product and service sales. This equated to approximately 200% of our target and involved securing the business of some prestigious clients including SBS, Xansa and Right Coutts.
* I worked very closely with the Lead Developer and we developed the product from a basic fixed format stand alone recruitment system to its current form as a totally customisable solution with powerful workflow functionality, its own VB Script engine, and seamless integration with the internet, e-mail, accounting solutions, post code lookups etc. We also developed a complete suite of web extensions, enabling the complete range of functionality to be accessed via a browser. I believe we developed the most powerful, functionally rich and user-friendly recruitment system available on the market.
* I designed and wrote all the product literature and marketing collateral. I was responsible for all aspects of the design, construction and implementation of a stand at the Recruitment 98 exhibition, which proved to be very successful with a number of sales being made as a direct result. In conjunction with the MD I also rewrote most of the company’s terms and conditions and internal procedures.
