Matthew is an experienced technology industry veteran with multiple start ups and four exits to his credit. He is passionate about small teams, big data, business process, metrics and analytics. Matthew is a keen marketer and good salesman, while still easily relating to engineering.
Immediately after graduating Columbia Business School in 1995, and as Director of Strategy for EarthWeb he helped lead the company through financing, rapid growth and successful NASDAQ IPO.
Subsequently, Matt worked as VP Research at Alexa Internet and played an instrumental role in their strategic growth and subsequent acquisition by Amazon.com. After working at Amazon.com, Matt became Chief Strategy Officer of Compete, a data analytics company. He went on to found and lead Discovery Mining, Inc., an Inc. 500 company, before selling it to Interwoven (IWOV) in 2008. Matt's subsequent basement startup, Cohuman, was sold in 2011 to Mindjet. in 2011 he joined Pivotal Labs as General Manager of the Pivotal Tracker team where he he positioned the Tracker product and prepared a roadmap and three year plan. Pivotal Tracker was sold with Pivotal Labs to EMC in 2012. Subsequently, Matt joined Sprint.ly as CSO, where he executed the merger with Quick Left, and became CEO of the merged organization.
Matthew is also founder of Piston & Chain, a San Francisco Motorcycle Club and Retailer.

Founded and managed a SaaS e-discovery platform. Sold in 2008 to Interwoven.
