VP of Technology at iCrossing

I'm a technologist with a passion for all things digital, emerging and social media, user experience, and innovation. I'm an early adopter, a thought leader, and chief trend spotter. I seek out opportunities where I can solve problems, push boundaries (and sometimes buttons), communicate with audiences, and connect teams.
I’m currently focused on producing web-based collaborative, social, and project management applications. My hobbies include Ruby on Rails, highly scalable architectures, consuming RSS feeds, and collecting beta invitations for the latest 2.0/3.0 web sites.
Working very closely with my customers, from clients to C-level execs, I believe that providing value is simple if you can listen, learn, act, communicate, and most importantly, deliver. I excel at transforming observations and understanding into useful, functioning applications. I am constantly working to improve, refine, and enhance, but find trailblazing quite addictive and highly rewarding, despite the incredible challenge.
I tend to take on too many responsibilities, take pride in what I do, and spend too much time on my Mac laptop. I build diverse, but close-knit teams that develop smart, useful, reliable, and scalable solutions. I can role up my sleeves and get my hands dirty with code. My teams care about what we do, and it’s reflected in all of the work that we produce.
My current title is VP of Technology, but I'm much more than just a tech; my love of design, my deep belief that the user experience *is* the application, and an appreciation for a smart, solid strategy, differentiates me from the rest of the pack. My wide-ranging experience has me working with and guiding techs, creatives, strategists, and marketers, both internally and client-facing. I’m also a firm believer that the web hasn’t just become social, social is its raison d'être.
