When I started at SCL I was in charge of creating a new company website based solely around their web analytics offerings. During my employment I maintained the company website and intranet, maintenance also included increasing the visibility of the website by various search engine marketing methods.
During my time at SCL I was able to use my previous knowledge of the web to learn new terminology and skills in the web analytics area. My role was to primarily support and provide technical sales assistance for the Unica web analytics product range. This involved answering technical questions via phone and email as well as giving demonstrations of the software both remotely and on customer sites.
On site consultancy and the running training courses on the Unica web analytics product range were required on a frequent basis.

In this role I have been exposed to the Linux environment as well as the configuration of PHP and Apache. I have created a commercial, search engine optimised content management system using PHP and produced to a strict XHTML standard.
Also I have developed various PHP scripts in combination with CSS and Javascript to enhance existing websites. These scripts dealt with email contact forms, bulk file uploads and CSV to database data conversion.
I have used JavaScript to enhance the accessibility of websites as well as to verify form data. ASP.NET has also been used to create bespoke scripts for basic file handling in an FTP system, the same system was also converted by myself into PHP for use on Linux. Modification of current systems has also been required in this role, especially focusing on open source graphic content management systems that required bespoke changes in order to meet customers specific requirements.
