Matthew Finch’s Summary

Matthew joined Dell as Head of Marketing for UK & Ireland in May 2008. He is responsible for driving consumer sales and marketing activity in the region for all Consumer product lines, spanning both offline and online marketing disciplines.

Matthew's previous experience has primarily focused in the online industry, with over 9 years experience starting out as a web developer before moving into ecommerce, online marketing and strategy.

He ran his own small business during the dot com boom, finding the experience of building a business from scratch invaluable.

He has since worked for the Holiday Cottages Group as part of the US vacation-rental company Cendant, before progressing on to the UK holiday brand Warner Breaks (part of the Bourne Leisure who also operate Butlins and Haven).

More recently Matthew worked at digital marketing technology company DoubleClick at Google, managing key European agency clients.

Matthew has presented at numerous industry events including the Richmond Events Digital Marketing Briefing, Marcus Evans Future of Direct Marketing, E-consultany's Digital Cream and Haymarket Events Digital Forum.

He has received a number of awards for online work and is a member of the IAB Email Council.

Matthew has also written a regular blog for e-consultancy.com, providing comment on the online marketing industry.

In 2000 I received an award from Intel for the development of Internet services following the launch of a tourism website.

In 2001 I was short listed by the British Association for Science & Technology, as part of which I presented my work at the Royal Society in London.

In 2006, I was shortlisted for an NMA award for an online marketing campaign for Warner Breaks.

In 2006, my ‘Great British Summer Breaks’ online marketing campaign for Warner Breaks was awarded highly commended at the Fresh Digital Marketing awards.
