Matthew DeWaal’s Summary
I have a strong affection (it's love, who am I kidding?) for all things marketing and online communications: the Internet, design, social media, and web development.
My most rewarding experience was co-founding StikiPad, an online wiki provider. From idea to final product, I worked insanely hard on something that I was insanely passionate about. I wore many hats (and mostly all at the same time) to provide our current and potential customers with knowledge of our product, our brand, and our overall philosophy. It was this exercise in determination, perseverance, and true passion for a job well done, that I will always take with me as I build my career.
I currently hold a lead position at Harbourfront Centre, a non-profit performing arts organization mandated to provide the city of Toronto with contemporary arts and culture. Working in the arts, and exploring new ways that our organization can expand its reach through online communities, has provided me with the opportunity to use my skills in an industry I am committed to serving and being passionate about.
