Lockmasters, Inc., established in 1955, in Rochester, NY, by Harry C. Miller, James Taylor and Leonard Singer, Lockmasters offered correspondence courses in lock manipulation and safe lock servicing. These proved so successful that a "hands-on" residence school was created. Then in 1983, under the sole ownership of J. Clayton Miller, son of Harry C. Miller, Lockmasters expanded the base of operations to include a tool and equipment division. The goal of this new division was to be a quality "single source" supplier for all parts, tools and equipment. In addition to education, tools and customer service, Lockmasters has always been and continues to be at the forefront of innovative research and development. The company's R&D department has invented specialized tools for the technician such as the Read EZE, Emergency Dial, Pro Amp, Safe Savers Pins, X-07 Cover Removal Tool, Equalizer Drill Rig, Magnum Drill Rig series and hard plate for government security containers.
