Technologist; Professional Training & Coaching Contractor
Redhill, United Kingdom
Currently, I am involved in technology–as the developer of a cloud computing platform–and as a trainer and coach specialising in personal productivity and ongoing development.
I teach people how to do more in less time and with dramatically reduced stress levels. My systems of workflow, productivity and project management can take ideas from concept to completion and help you to move forward.
My goal is to help people to be more efficient in what they do by teaching them something of benefit to the rest of their lives.
This is the culmination of the knowledge I gained while working in technology both for others and for myself. I have experience of technology product design, software architecture, marketing and project management. I have co-lead a successful start-up and intend to do so again in the near future.
My personal areas of expertise include technology design, productivity coaching, life coaching, workflow management, project management, team management, leadership, product design, software architecture, systems analysis, systems thinking, offshore development, outsourcing, marketing and business consulting.

The m2b8 Project is designed to act as an outlet for the resources and skills I have acquired during my twenty years in the technology industry. I teach people to do more in less time and with less stress using tools such as GTD, systems thinking and NLP.
Close to my home in Sussex, England I offer consultancy to local professionals by helping them to organise their activities streamline their systems and plan more effectively.
For more more disperse clients I coach via Skype and e-mail.
I'm soon to start offering training courses, both direct and via a 'Train the Trainer' scheme.

With EDL I conceived of, designed, constructed and bought to a launch-ready state a network application capable of allowing desktop and application-level data sharing for individuals in both private and corporate settings. It would seem in hindsight that this was the first integrated 'cloud' networking system.
My duties covered every technical aspect of the company including infrastructure. I was also the author of granted patents on the company's software in the US and UK and a pending patent in the EU. I am currently dealing with an appeal against the EU patent regarding prior art which I expect to win at some stage during 2009.
The product was evaluated by Brunel University and included on its advisory committee a former head of technology and board member of BT, who toured the US on our behalf.
While still technically employed by EDL and acting as a Director and advisor, I no longer have any day-to-day responsibilities. It is likely that in the near future, EDL will once again seek launch opportunities for its product.

Sullivan Marine was the UK subsidiary of the French industrial conglomerate SERPE-IESM, which specialised in creating electronic products for the aviation and shipping industries from previously secret military technologies.
My duties included network and systems design and implementation and the marketing of electronic safety products such as positioning beacons and transponders to civilian aviation, yachting and merchant naval sectors.

Classic cars, classical music (I play the classical guitar), reading (the canon and 'The Saint') and I want to learn to fly; I'm just not to sure my arms are up to it.
