Matthew McCullough’s Summary

My extensive experience in the software consulting industry started with independently building two commercially successful desktop apps in junior high school. I've been producing many profitable and successful desktop, server, and web solutions for clients in the years since.

I'm a strong proponent of and contributor to open source projects, and have a demonstrated track record of success in applying agile methodologies to software development. I also spend a great deal of time in studying and applying marketing techniques, such as those put forth by Seth Godin, to software development. The net result has been highly marketable, and thus profitable solutions for my clients.

Some of my early accolades include a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout high school and college, then receiving awards for web development through Microsoft's Sitebuilder Competition. More recently, I have served on the Denver JBoss User Group Board of Directors, been elected acting president of the Denver Open Source Users Group, given numerous educational presentations to large groups, and made contributions to the crafting of Sun's Java 5.0 JCP Exam. Recently, I have been honored with the invitation to be a technical reviewer for O'Reilly, and quoted on the cover of Maven: The Definitive Guide.

With respect to current technologies, I am proficient in Spring, Hibernate, SOA, Web Services, J2EE (JEE), Java, SQL, Struts, and advanced usages of Eclipse.
