I usually work in roles related to 1) web-based software product development, implementation and adoption patterns, and 2) B2B sales and account management of these products.
I have experience in working both with large and small organizations (Fortune 1000 to startups), in line and staff roles, in external (consulting) and internal roles.
My problem-solving approach is to blend my social sciences and business backgrounds. I bring mental models from anthropology and apply them to business situations; that said, I'm a business professional, not a social scientist. I'm committed to helping companies grow and be successful.
Because of my understanding of executive priorities, my range of skills (utility player), my practical approach, and my collaborative work style, I've been asked to participate in everything from brainstorming around an opportunity/problem, to getting hands-on in a specific role -- for example, bridging the gap between strategy and implementation, or jump-starting new roles/groups, or solving chronic organizational problems.
I'm particularly interested in social media and have been engaged in online communities and user-generated-content for 10+ years.
