Mary Guhin’s Summary

We help CEOs and CFOs of small to medium sized companies save 20% or more on non-core expenses when others cannot, and we do it without wasting their time. In fact, the average return for each hour of senior management time invested is in excess of $10,000.

Ours is a high value no risk proposition because if there are no savings, there is no fee, and we do the work. We find savings for over 80% of the companies with which we engage, and in 60-70% of the cases the savings are delivered without changing incumbent suppliers.

Finally, we stick around to implement the recommendations that the clients accept. Check out the website at www.expensereduction.com to learn more about how we do it and the areas in which we are successful at delivering great returns to our clients!

Mary Guhin’s Experience

  • Program Manager

    Xerox

(Public Company; 10,001 or more employees; XRX; Information Technology and Services industry)

    May 1977August 2007 (30 years 4 months)

Until I retired I held a variety of management positions within Xerox, including information management, telecommunications, operational auditing, purchasing, real estate/facilities management, and outsourcing arrangements. What is common to all of these different assignments? Delivering difficult projects or programs, often involving process and systems changes, on time and on budget while managing multiple competencies with significant dependencies. None of the programs I managed in my career at Xerox would have been successful without the ability to develop business or investment cases, support savings to be realized from process changes, and manage senior client stakeholders throughout the projects.

  • Graduate Teaching Assistant

    Cornell University

(Educational Institution; 10,001 or more employees; Higher Education industry)

    August 1975May 1977 (1 year 10 months)

I was the graduate teaching assistant to Professor M. Gardner Clarke for a large undergraduate course on the economic geography of what was then known as the Soviet Union. Professor Clarke was a dear in the classic absent-minded professor mold who created an insane workload for me with essay exams and research papers to grade. I had nightmares about blue books full of bad handwriting and poor spelling for years afterwards.
