I am a mechanical engineer by training transitioning to digital cinema focusing on animation. It's the artsy side, if you will, of the computer science profession. I have taken a few of the traditional core courses in computer science but I'm a more creative sort than traditional code junkie.
Some of that fundamental software engineering course work includes Java, Data Structures, Discrete Math and Algorithms, C++, Digital Logic Circuits, Artificial Intelligence and Principles of Programming Languages. My resume will begin to include creative packages such as MAYA and other standard animation and graphics applications.
I am also a budding social media specialist beginning to pick up on web site and blog analytics as well as pay per click technologies.
I look forward to speaking with owners and human resources managers of animation, design and graphic design firms and art galleries in Chicago for part time work and summer internships while at DePaul University. Please feel free to contact me via the phone number or email address above.
My interests lie in movie, documentary, commercial and marketing animation, as well as educational software applications.
I start DePaul's College of Computing and Digital Media masters program to specialize in animation, cinematography and the like in September of 2009.
My ultimate objective is to leverage eleven years of design engineering, manufacturing engineering and production experience to maximize my creative energies as I merge my technical and artistic inspirations.
